Gen Caleb Akarwanaho alias Salim Saleh needs no introduction to anyone in Uganda because of reputation as one of the "richest" men the poor Uganda. He is the president's young brother which is the reason why he steals freely and nobody can point a finger at him.

In the early days of the brothers government, he was even fired by the brother for theft and his own brother at one time said that Saleh is a drunkard and thief who can't be trusted with anything.

Saleh featured prominently in the junk helicopter scandal of the early 1990s where him and some one called Emma Kato purchased old non functional Soviet choppers and swindled millions of dollars that were never accounted for despite a commission of inquiry that was set up to investigate the case.

As if that is not enough every foreign investor who comes to invest in Uganda has as a must to go through Saleh or his estranged wife Jovia and bribe them huge amount of money or give them free shares in the investment.

It's at this point that I feel like not calling it the Republic of Uganda but Kaguta and sons company Limited..

As we speak now Saleh is one of the biggest land owners in the country only after the Kabaka of Buganda,

We have to ask ourselves how he came to own such large chunks of land?

Did he inherit it like the Kabaka?

Did he buy it or did he just grab it by virtue of his position or relationship with the president?

Your guess is as good as mine, he of course grabbed it by virtue of his rank and relationship with the president Museveni.

Saleh is currently the commander of operation wealth creation, the president brain child to "fight poverty" which in actual sense is a ploy for the president to use his thieving brother to steal more for their personal enrichment as they lose support they used to enjoy in the early years of the regime.

Stay tuned for more about Saleh and family's thieving and corruption ways......
