Dear Bazukulu of the cancer-stricken dictator, Dictator Museveni’s attack-dog Obed Katureebe aka Robert Patrick Fati Gakwerere on Facebook is yet again diverting your attention with his incoherent posts which he thinks are of more importance than unreported thousands of Coronavirus deaths. The minion Katureebe, who Museveni has deployed in the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), is jealous that Rwanda's First Daughter is happy in marriage whilst the marriages of his paymaster Museveni’s children have all completely failed. For instance, his only son Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s wife Charlotte Nankunda Kutesa dumped him for her lovebird in Canada; the poor woman was tired of his out of control adulterous affairs and the battering he regularly inflicted on her every time she complained. To keep up appearances, she comes to Uganda only for pipping ceremonies when Muhoozi is elevated in the army. Patience Museveni Rwabogo secretly divorced Odrek Rwabogo due to cheating. Natasha Museveni...

Ugandans are not powerless. There is much they can do to stop Museveni expansionism. The upcoming election should be the dawn of a new era, not the continuation of Museveni's warped unconstitutional values . Museveni has engineered the system of criminal massacres, used thuggery and violence to win elections, repressed opposition, oversaw forced disappearances, mismanaged the country's natural resources and turned a blind eye to corruption, 2021 election will claim many lives of innocent Ugandans due to presence of these LDU criminals for Museveni. Museveni has weak leadership which has failed to unite the nation behind common economic and social objectives and regional market and his mindset is all about causing wars in the region instead of developing the region. Beyond fanning the flames of tribalism and unashamedly embedding ethnic divisions into the fabric of ankole bahima society, Museveni also normalised political violence and the regular use of youth mil...

ANDREW MWENDA, UPDF & the POLITICAL ECONOMY OF COVID-19 “Truth is the first casualty of war,” Aeschylus, a Greek tragic dramatist said, centuries ago. So whenever government leaders purport to be addressing the nation on war or crisis, chances are, big lies, nicely packaged and presented on government paper, with the Court of Arms, proclaiming “For God and My Country”, are being dispensed to a very naïve population that is eagerly listening.  Some 20 or so years ago a Pakistani lass, Bushra Ali, invited a small group of maybe ten journalists to lunch at Nommo Gallery – just beside State House, Kampala. Bushra had ended her tour of duty as Communications Head for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and was bidding farewell to a few good friends.    I forget the other journalists, but one of them was Andrew Mwenda, then Political Editor at The Monitor Newspaper. I’d worked with Mwenda at Monitor, before moving to the New Vision in June 1999. Clas...

Byanyima’s Fictitious Tale Of A Kagame Meeting In Mwenda’s The Independent On March 16, Andrew Mwenda’s The Independent published a highly sensational and fictitious article titled “How Besigye’s wife negotiated a deal between Museveni and Kagame.” A bizarrely titled piece that reduces the executive head of a UN agency to someone’s mere appendage rather than in her own merit, starts and ends in similar fashion. The only thing that is not concocted in the article is the fact that the 20th ICASA (International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa) event took place in Kigali in December last year. Winnie Byanyima attended in her capacity as the Executive Director of UNAIDs, a position she had just been appointed to. As is normal diplomatic courtesy, President Kagame – as the host – met with top officials from the public and private sector, as well as those of multi-lateral organizations. He did this before, during, and after the event. A meeting wit...

Gen.Saleh the thieving Gen Gen Caleb Akarwanaho alias Salim Saleh needs no introduction to anyone in Uganda because of reputation as one of the "richest" men the poor Uganda. He is the president's young brother which is the reason why he steals freely and nobody can point a finger at him. Salim Saleh needs no introduction to anyone in Uganda because of reputation as one of the "richest" men in poor Uganda. He is the president's young brother which is the reason why he steals freely and nobody can point a finger at him. In the early days of the brothers government, he was even fired by the brother for theft and his own brother at one time said that Saleh is a drunkard and thief who can't be trusted with anything. Saleh featured prominently in the junk helicopter scandal of the early 1990s where him and some one called Emma Kato purchased old non functional Soviet choppers and swindled millions of dollars that were never accounted for despite a c...
